The Marine Corps Marathon has some impressive stats going for it. Not only is it one of the largest in the US and the world, it’s the biggest one that doesn’t offer prize money. That makes it a marathon for regular folks who just love running, or for beginners who are just starting out on a runner’s journey. And because the race is located in DC and its surrounding areas, expect a beautiful route dotted with monuments and landmarks, flawlessly organized by some of America’s finest.
Not ready to run the full 26.2 miles? The MCM 10K and Kids Run are available, or you can volunteer just to be a part of this impressive event. The weekend holds plenty of other activities, plus the ultra-challenging MCM 50K (yes…that’s the marathon with almost five extra miles tacked on). Mark your calendar for Sunday, October 27, and register now for the event of your choice. Reserve your spot for the marathon via rush registration (for the first 7,000 participants) or the lottery.
