Celebrate Argentinean Culture at Festival Argentino on May 11th

For more than three decades, Festival Argentino has celebrated Argentinean culture with a massive festival, and this year will be no different. The Kenmore Auditorium will host the festivities this year on Saturday, May 11th from 4 to 10:30 p.m. You can grab your ticket online ($20) or bring some cash and buy one at the door ($30).

Once you step inside, you’ll be swept away to another country — figuratively speaking. The traditional Argentinean arts and crafts, live dancers and musicians, and authentic Argentinean food vendors help to create a unique and all-encompassing experience. Of course, if you want to literally travel to Argentina, you’ll have the chance to win a trip from Copa Airlines, which will convey you directly from Washington, D.C. to Buenos Aires. Since May 11th is National Eat What You Want Day, and also part of National Barbecue Month, you can expect to see some American grub at the festival, too — don’t feel guilty about indulging. It’s all in the name of the holiday!
